Social Media Manager - Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group - London 

Are you a creative social media guru with a passion for food and a nose for a really tasty story? Do you know how to find the really interesting little moments in the everyday? We have an exciting opening at the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group for a Social Media Manager who wants to build and shape the brand’s social presence. Working with the marketing team, you will bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to all our social media channels, and manage the strategy across all social platforms.

You will help create engaging, innovative content and play a key role in delivering content across all platforms for the Restaurant Group. This will include uploading content, and ensuring consistency with the Jamie Oliver brand tone of voice and values.

This is a super exciting role, with potential to make a real mark on the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group identity. We’re looking for a creative, driven individual with big ideas, and will support you all the way in bringing them to life!

This isn’t a desk-based role – you’ll be out and about, capturing content at our restaurants, building relationships with the chefs and front-of-house staff, and telling the stories about what makes Jamie Oliver's restaurants so special.

Responsibilities

  • Managing output across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group

  • Creating engaging content, including copy and imagery

  • Owning the social media content calendar with Head of UK Marketing

  • Championing community engagement and assisting the customer care team when needed

  • Monitoring the group’s international restaurants social media, and liaising with the international marketing teams as and when necessary

  • Helping to produce weekly social media activity reports for all branded channels, in order to optimise campaign performance

  • Helping with out of hours social support when needed

  • Enforcing and complying with all company policies, procedures and values

Experience required

The ideal person for this role will be looking for a new challenge and will be committed to developing as part of a team. We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum two years’ digital experience managing social content for a brand

  • Strong communication and written skills are essential for this role, as you will be rolling out the brand tone of voice to our wider audience

  • A passion for social media

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Good working knowledge of Photoshop

  • The Jamie Oliver environment is fast-paced, so the right person will be super-organised, adaptable, flexible and willing to get stuck in!

About you

  • You love all things edible!

  • You’ll know your Padella from your Palomar, and know where to find the best burrata in town

  • You photograph your meals before you eat them, and friends check your Instagram to find out where they should book their next table

  • You hashtag without batting an eyelid and probably have a favourite Snapchat filter

  • You might already blog or vlog

  • You’re happy chatting to anyone and everyone to find out what’s really going on around you

  • Maybe you own a Canon 5D or an Olympus Pen? We would love to work with someone who has a brilliant eye for great photography
